Lilian Epstein

Lilian is a California Certified Family Law Specialist who has been practicing in the Bay Areas for over 20 years. She is able to bring her strong background and expertise in a variety of approaches to help clients achieve the best possible outcomes for their families. In addition, Lilian has extensive experience acting as a family law mediator and can help settlement-oriented clients navigate the division of complex marital assets, spousal support, and child support. Her emphasis on planning for next steps in new family structure and individual needs helps clients to focus on their practical and emotional long-term goals.

Lilian has successfully resolved cases representing high-earners and supported spouses with marriages involving closely held family businesses and medical practices. She is also skilled in navigating the division of property including common high-tech and government compensation packages such as stock options, pensions, health savings, CalPers and other harder-to-value assets.

Lilian was raised and schooled in the Bay Area and has lived in Santa Clara, Alameda, Los Angeles, and Santa Cruz Counties. As a lawyer, Lilian has practiced in Alameda, Contra Costa, Santa Clara, San Mateo and San Francisco Counties.

Lilian has volunteered and represented pro-bono clients through Alameda County VLSP Day Of Court, San Francisco Justice and Diversity Center (JDC) Family Law Project, Levitt and Quinn of Los Angeles, and Pro Bono Project of Silicon Valley. She taught spousal support section of family law introduction for non-family law attorneys through the Pro Bono Project of Silicon Valley.

Outside of work Lilian enjoys spending time with her family, fostering and caring for pets, growing food, flowers and preserving bio-diversity of the plant world, bee-keeping, scuba diving, and baking bread.
